I think perhaps it was this year, I had an incident trying to curl up on sofa with book and hot chocolate 😦
6 – DNF’D A BOOK THIS YEAR: 👿
Yes. Not sure I can say properly read Dracula 🧛♂️ as was skim reading a lot. There may be one other, that I can not even remember.
7 – BOUGHT A BOOK PURELY BECAUSE IT WAS PRETTY WITH NO INTENTION OF READING IT: 🧚♀️
No. Never done this.

Yes. For example Dracula.
10 – COMPLETELY MISSED YOUR GOODREADS GOAL: 🧚♀️
No. Don’t have goodreads and don’t set reading targets. I read most days for fun, and don’t want targets. Don’t think I really need to read faster and therefore buy more books.
11 – BORROWED A BOOK FROM THE LIBRARY AND NOT RETURNED IT: 🧚♀️
12 – BROKE A BOOK BUYING BAN: 🧚♀️
No, but then never really banned myself.
13 – STARTED A REVIEW, LEFT IT FOR AGES, THEN FORGOT WHAT THE BOOK WAS ABOUT: 👿
Maybe, don’t review every book read and sometimes soon forget about them.
14 – WROTE IN A BOOK YOU WERE READING: 👿
I tried my hand at some black out poetry this year. I’m seeing it as another way of engaging with the book.
15 – FINISHED A BOOK AND NOT ADDED IT TO YOUR GOODREADS: 🧚♀️
As above not got goodreads.
16 – BORROWED A BOOK AND NOT RETURNED IT TO A FRIEND:
17 – DODGED SOMEONE ASKING IF THEY CAN BORROW A BOOK: 🧚♀️
No, but then don’t get asked very often. There is someone who lost my copy of First day (I bought a second hand copy this year as a replacement), so they are never borrowing a book again. However, most books can be replaced so I’m not too precious. I’ve even let someone read Lullaby which I had signed last week; it will be good to talk about what they think when they finish! In conclusion I’m in favour of book swaps.
18 – BROKE THE SPINE OF SOMEONE ELSE’S BOOK: 🧚♀️
Not that know.
19 – TOOK THE JACKET OFF A BOOK AND ENDED UP MAKING IT MORE DAMAGED: 🧚♀️
20 – SAT ON A BOOK ACCIDENTALLY
Don’t think so. 🧚♀️
The final reckoning:
I’m fairy worthy of sitting proud a top any Christmas tree.
Fairy 🧚♀️ : 13
Devil 👿: 7
