Music Monday inspired by Song Lyric Sunday Theme for 7/22/18

The first song that came to my mind for theme SPEAK was TALK Tonight written by Noel Gallagher and performed by Oasis. I saw Noel on Saturday; the time prior to that when I saw him the lyric strawberry 🍓 lemonade dreams from TALK tonight really stuck with me.

Talk Tonight
Oasis
Sittin’ on my own
Chewin’ on a bone
A thousand million miles from home
When something hit me
Somewhere right between the eyes
Sleepin’ on a plane
You know you can’t complain
You took your last chance once again
I landed stranded
Hardly even knew your name
I want to talk tonight
Until the mornin’ light
‘Bout how you saved my life
You and me see how we are
You and me see how we are
All your dreams are made
Of strawberry lemonade
And you make sure I eat today
You take me walking
To where you played when you were young
I’ll never say that
I won’t ever make you cry
And this I’ll say I don’t know why
I know I’m leavin’
But I’ll be back another day
I want to talk tonight
Until the mornin’ light
‘Bout how you saved my life
(You saved my life)
I want to talk tonight
(I want to talk tonight)
‘Bout how you saved my life
(I want to talk tonight)
‘Bout how you saved my life
(I want to talk tonight)
‘Bout how you saved my life
(I want to talk tonight)
‘Bout how you saved my life
(I want to talk tonight) (4x)

I’m not sharing videos, instead I’m going to share a second set of lyrics. I think both sets of lyrics are like beautiful poetry just on their own or at least they SPEAK to me; but then I’m in love 😍 with the writer; it inspired my blog name Wonderwall360.

On Saturday Noel started with some High Flying Bird songs which, were good. But then he SPOKE to the crowd.

“You like Oasis right?”

Brief pause for cheers

“This is going to go well”

And of course it did starting with Little by Little. I think it fit’s the SPEAK theme because the opening “We the people” is like the start of a speech. And it is definitely like he is talking to someone because he repeats the refrain “I did not mean what I just said”

Little by Little

Oasis

We the people fight for our existence

We don’t claim to be perfect but we’re free

We dream our dreams alone with no resistance

Fading like the stars we wish to be

You know I didn’t mean what I just said

But my God woke up on the wrong side of his bed

And it just don’t matter now

As little by little we gave you everything you ever dreamed of

Little by little the wheels of your life have slowly fallen off

Little by little you have to give it all in all your life

And all the time I just ask myself why you’re really here?

True perfection has to be imperfect

I know that that sounds foolish but it’s true

Day has come, now you’ll have to accept

Life inside your head we give to you

You know I didn’t mean what I just said

But my God woke up on the wrong side of his bed

And it just don’t matter now

As little by little we gave you everything you ever dreamed of

Little by little the wheels of your life have slowly fallen off

Little by little you have to give it all in all your life

And all the time I just ask myself why you’re really here?

As little by little we gave you everything you ever dreamed of

Little by little the wheels of your life have slowly fallen off

Little by little you have to give it all in all your life

And all the time I just ask myself why you’re really here?

Why am I really here?

Why am I really here?

This Thing Called Life One Word at a Time

My hubby took us to our favorite Indian restaurant for dinner tonight, which is always a treat. On our way home, he also treated me to yet another Persian saying. I honestly can’t even remember it now, but it did get me to thinking about language. I’m constantly amazed at how different languages are. I’ve always wanted to learn his natural language, but I’ve been too damn lazy to even try. I may just do it, though…

As you know, I don’t just say things in my theme posts without a purpose. Well, usually I don’t. Usually it leads me right into the theme, and this week is no different. So, let’s just get right to it. Let’s put on our thinking caps on, break out our playlists and get to work!  Our theme for Song Lyric Sunday this week is speak.

As always, you can go your own…
