Winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd are selected by 24 hours of voting following Thursday / Friday and announced on Friday.

Following on from Kirsty’s post last week talking about Expectation for England’s football team, this week in England there has been a lot of talk of Football’s coming home. Of course the team are coming home after the weekend in either third or four place not first or second.

As well as entering your story, I would like to know where you are based as my prompt is …..

HOME

So evidently England is home for me. Specifically I live in Sheffield. But I also consider my parents near Scunthorpe where I’m heading today, HOME.

So how does it work?

3. On Thursday, I publish a poll – and this is the important bit – don’t forget to come back and vote for your favourite!

Of course – in fact, please do! The more people who take part in this weekly challenge, the merrier. Tell your story and inspire others to have a go. Write a blog post, send me a pingback, share your six word story on social media or reblog this post to encourage your own followers to take part. There are various different hashtags floating round t’internet, so you can use any of these to reach a wider audience – #SixWordStoryChallenge #6words #sixwordstory #microfiction #flashfiction #fiction #amwriting. The most common one we’re using at the moment is #SixWordStoryChallenge, so linking up to that hashtag should help you connect with other participants.

How is the winner chosen?

I close entry to the Six Word Story Challenge on Thursday and open a poll which remains open for 24hrs. Anybody and everybody is invited to vote in this poll, the winner is the story with the most votes at 9pm on Friday. Simples!

      1. LOL. I don’t make these up. They’re on maps. LOL. I guess it was comprised to show “G” as in the first letter of “Georgia” and “A” as in the last. That’s the only thing I can think of to explain it. LOL.

      1. I hail from Ontario Canada.

        The “you” could be another person, it could be a pet or it could simply be you. I didn’t want to quantify it so I left out quotations.

      2. Yep I think not quantifying is best, leaving open to interpretation as to whether person or pet. For me I bought the house with the intention to make it a family home so that potential helps make it home.

  1. Always at home with my family.

    We were a Navy family. Luckily in the almost 9 years my husband was in, we only moved from our home state of Michigan, to South Carolina and Washington state. We now live in Oregon and hope to move back to Michigan to be closer to our families. No matter where we are though, we have each other and are home. We seem to make new family everywhere we go too 🙂 It’s amazing. I have family members all over the world thank to the military life 🙂
